Heaven's Strife
Heaven's Strife
He aquí una breve introducción:
"Once every decade, champions from all over creation gather in the city of gods, Yu-Shan, to compete in Heaven's Strife. The clash of heroes and a match of giants, a tournament of nations. To the victor the ear of the Incarnae and, should he be worthy, their reality changing voice.
The right to send a champion is not given freely. Heavenly Temples are scattered across creation and for each temple a champion is sent. These heroes earn their place by besting all competitors from their region.
This tradition has been honored and followed for generations, but as civilization expands and grows taller, greed and corruption with a slight taste of fear spread under its shadow. One by one, these temples fell within the borders of each region's superpower.
By fixing matches and limiting participation in the regionals, these nations wrested control over who would have the chance to speak to the gods. Eventually, the voice the incarnae heard was not that of heroes, but of corrupt governments.
In the Riverlands, there are three Heavenly Temples, one under the control of Lookshy, another within Great Forks, and the third tended by Nexus. As usual, Lookshy and Great Forks make sure that their chosen champions, and agendas, are sent to Heaven's Strife.
Nexus, however, is different. The Emissary sends a scroll to every minor nation, an invitation to participate in the selection of the city's champion. Unlike any other nation, Nexus offers the chance to ask the Incarnae a favor to anyone brave enough to seek it.
Or so is said..."
